What is willy van de kerkhof?

Willy van de Kerkhof is a retired Dutch footballer who was born on September 16, 1955. He is best known for his time playing as a midfielder for PSV Eindhoven and the Dutch national team in the 1970s and 1980s. He was also part of the famous Van de Kerkhof twins, with his brother René also playing for PSV and the national team. Willy was an integral part of the PSV team that won three Eredivisie titles and reached the European Cup final in 1988, losing out to Benfica. He earned 63 caps for the Dutch national team, scoring eight goals, and played in two World Cups, in 1978 and 1982. After retiring as a player, Willy went on to work as a television commentator and pundit.
